Today, the Skippack Fire Company has six pieces of emergency apparatus to protect the community.

The Skippack Emergency Medical Services was formed in 1986 as a not-for-profit volunteer ambulance. SEMS services the residents of Skippack Township as the local emergency responder and provides the best possible care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year using volunteer workers. They appreciate all of the support that the residents have given to SEMS. Without the residents, SEMs would not be able to run as efficiently and effectively as they have over the past 13 years.

Volunteers are vital to their organization. They're continually looking for residents of Skippack Township to volunteer. Volunteer to serve on various committees, to run calls as an Emergency Medical Technician, a paramedic, or as a driver. Their organizational meeting is on the second Tuesday of the month and training is on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
